A 1986 Ferrari Testarossa Monospecchio, painted in Argento Metallic (pearlescent sliver) is the 80’s icon sports car that's as much a piece of art as it is a marvel of engineering. With its signature single side flying mirror and unmistakable wedge-shaped silhouette, this Testarossa embodies the bold design of its era. Receiving a full engine-out servicing in January 2025 from AutoElite, this Testarossa is ready to be driven and turn heads.

Under the direction of Pininfarina designer Leonardo Fioravanti, Ferrari's Testarossa undertook a bold departure from the manufacture’s traditional design language. Beginning in 1984, the model superseded the Berlinetta Boxer, as a more user-friendly supercar updated with cutting-edge technology and flamboyant styling.

The Testarossa's wide and low stance was complemented by its distinctive side strakes, which doubled as cooling ducts for the rear-mounted radiators, a necessity due to the car's powerful flat-12 engine. An undisputed icon of the 1980s, the Testarossa’s staying power informed future eras of Ferrari design for decades to come.

The car’s spacious cabin presents a luxurious interior, featuring black leather seating and a sculptural dashboard with a refined center console. Accented by vibrant red carpeting, it adds a distinctive flair that enhances the striking presence of this exceptional example.

Flaunting 390hp 4.9L displacement, 5-speed manual shifting enabled 60 mph acceleration in just over 5 seconds—on to a top speed nearing 180 mph. Advanced double wishbone suspension featured four-corner coil springs ensuring a fine balance of precise handling and comfortable compliance.

Debuted at the Paris Auto Show in 1984 and popularized by appearances in Miami Vice, The Wolf of Wall Street, and Straight Outta Compton. Well-known Testarossa owners included Elton John, Marti Pellow, Alain Delon, Rod Stewart, Michael Jordan, Mike Tyson, John Carmack, Dr. Dre, M.C. Hammer, Austrian Formula One racing driver Gerhard Berger, and Gary Monsieur…. Don Johnson, who famously drove a white Testarossa on Miami Vice, was gifted a brand-new silver 1989 Testarossa by Enzo Ferrari himself (a fan of Miami Vice).

This 86’ Testarossa is a true classic that continues to captivate car enthusiasts & collectors with its timeless design, performance, sound, and elegance. In seeking a truly exceptional coupe that exemplifies the pinnacle of Italian excellence, this Monospecchio is the one to own.
